#1: I can't sign on! What do I do?
Make sure you are using the same email address that you initially used to join Quest .. If this is your first visit to the site, the password was provided in your welcome email. The password is case sensitive.

You can always use the Forgot Password option to have a reminder of your password sent to your email address. After you log in you should change your password to something easier to remember.

If you still cannot login, please contact us membership@questdirect.org . We will respond to your request as quickly as possible.
#2: I forgot my password. What do I do?
If you cannot remember your password, click on Forgot Password underneath the login box. You will need to provide your email address that you signed up with and your password will be sent to you. Once you login, you should change this password to something easier for you to remember in the future.
#3: How can I change my password?
Go to Manage your Content > Edit Profile> Edit Contact Information > “Need to change your password? Click here.
#4: Can I Change my user ID?
Unfortunately, no. Due to programming restraints, you may not change your user ID once your account is established. Your user ID is your friendly URL to your profile.
#5: Can I change my screen name?
Yes! Your screen name can be changed at any time, as many times as you'd like. We do suggest choosing a screen name and sticking with it since it will be easier for other members to remember you and your brilliant contributions.
To edit your screen name go to Manger your Content > Account Settings.
#6: Why should I add a picture or avatar?
You don’t have to. It just helps us and your peers connect and identify the people providing ideas, content and feedback in the community. It’s your choice.
#7: Why should I complete my profile?
There may be a couple of required questions for us to identify you, otherwise you don’t have to. It helps us understand you as a member. It’s also a great way for other people in the community to connect with you and for us to provide you with relevant and timely information . You’ll be surprised how your response to a profile question can generate conversation and get you the news you need.
#8: What do you do with my personal info that I enter into my profile?
We will use your information to assist you in finding fellow users, content and events relevant to you. We do not sell your information or share it with other entities for solicitation purposes. That's a promise.
#9: Can I prevent people from knowing I'm online? What are my privacy options?
Your privacy is important to us. We offer a variety of options for you to protect your privacy. First, this is a members only community, so no one outside of the community will be able to see what transpires here. Secont, you control what information you make available in your profile. You may set your profile as public (Visible to All) , friends only (Friends Only) or private (Secret)at any time. Even if you choose to have your profile public, it’s only public to members of the community. To control your privacy, visit your ‘Account Settings section via the Manage your Content drop down once you’re logged in.

Always remember to exercise caution when giving out your personal information.
#10: How do I reply to topics?
Simply click the ‘reply’ button. It will open a space for you to write your comment or response. Then click “Submit Reply”. You can also preview your reply before you post it. You must be logged in to post a reply.
#11 Can I see other people’s profiles? Can they see mine?
Yes you can, and yes they can, depending on your settings. When you login you can update your account settings from the Manage your Content menu to determine which parts of your profile you want private, public, or to be shared only with your connections. Remember, if your posts and comments are kept private, other members will not be able to recommend your posts and gain you points .
#12: What is ‘Mark Offensive’?
We want this to be a community where you can honestly share your opinions and thoughts. That is why we invited you here. If you feel something is inappropriate or offensive and should not have been shared in the community, this link will notify our staff. Someone will review the post, picture, message to determine if it is legitimately offensive. If so, this content will be removed from the site.
#13: Can I delete comments/replies I posted on someone's topic?
Yes. There will be a Delete link underneath any of your posts. You can only delete posts that you yourself have created It's still possible someone might have read it.

There will be a ‘Delete’ link underneath any of your posts. You can only delete posts that you yourself have created.
#15: How do I edit a post?
There will be a ‘Edit’ link underneath any of your posts. Once you modify the text, click Post to update the contents.
#16: What are Email Notifications? What is the difference between “email” and private message”?
E-mail will go to your outside e-mail address and a private message is only accessible in your Message Center in the online community. You can choose one or both options. The default is both.
#17: How does private messaging work? And who can I message?
Private messaging allows you to send a message to anyone in the community. The message can be read from their Message Center in the community, not their personal email accounts.
#18: What is the Idea Center?
This is an area for you to share your ideas for the site, a product, service, from Quest or Oracle . Other members in the community can review your idea, comment and vote on it.
