COLLABORATE 06: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community

Here's the latest on our upcoming event:

Keynote speakers. Oracle President Charles Phillips will address attendees on Tuesday, April 25, and we've confirmed Jamie Clark, an adventurer and motivational speaker who will kick off the conference in our Monday evening general session. You can't miss his presentation on his experiences in the world's most grueling desert -- the Empty Quarter of Arabia.

We've also confirmed Dell executives in a Wednesday keynote address and 11 Oracle vice presidents and executives who will be delivering product line focused Super Sessions.

Education and pre-conference training. Our call for presentations has ended, and a list of sessions is live on QuestDirect now. In addition, make plans to come early for pre-conference training led by industry experts.

WELCOME SIEBEL USERS: Oracle has completed its acquisition of Siebel, and Quest is pleased to welcome Siebel users to the Oracle family. As a Siebel user and Oracle customer, you are eligible for membership in Quest and the other International Oracle User Council organizations, and welcome to attend our COLLABORATE 06 conference, presented by Quest, IOUG and OAUG.

BE HEARD: Quest and Oracle have three major research projects going on now, and we need your participation!

• Which releases will ultimately be the "jump off points" toward Fusion? Please participate in a brief survey to assess which PeopleSoft releases and JD Edwards releases are most common. Deadline: Feb. 15.
• What is most important to reducing costs, decreasing risks and enhancing your PeopleSoft or JD Edwards experience? Opt in to participate in Oracle's survey on improving the ownership experience. Deadline: Feb. 3.
• Are you using a CRM solution, looking for a CRM solution, or don't have a need? In conjunction with the Siebel acquisition, Oracle is assessing customers' Customer Relationship Management plans. Fill out our CRM Survey for JD Edwards users, conducted in partnership with Oracle's Product Strategy experts.
  
  

JOIN THE BOARD: Apply for the Quest Board of Directors and invest your energy for the benefit of the PeopleSoft and JD Edwards user community. Self-nominations close Feb. 10.

BYLAW AMENDMENTS: The Quest Board of Directors has recommended changing the start/end dates of director terms to better coincide with the annual Meeting of Members. These proposed changes are posted to QuestDirect for a 30-day member comment period through Feb. 20. Please review and send any comments to delaine.bender@questdirect.org.
