Education Session Information
The Knowledge Committee has
completed their review of more than 500 sessions submitted for consideration
for COLLABORATE 07. Presenters are being informed of their session status this
week. Thanks to huge amounts of participation from the user community, Quest
remains the No. 1 source for PeopleSoft
content - more than 80 percent
of it, in fact, for PeopleSoft users. Be
sure to check www.questdirect.org
next week for a complete listing of approved sessions, descriptions, and times,
and remember to use Quest's online myConference tool once you've registered to
make a personalized conference agenda that includes sessions you want to
attend.
COLLABORATE 07 -
Common Registration Questions
Is it important which user group Web site
I register through?
Yes! Quest, IOUG and OAUG have
different registration systems and Web sites for the conference, each
targeted to our respective user group communities. Registering with Quest as a
PeopleSoft customer will allow you access to all updates about content and
networking specific to our product lines that you wont get anywhere else.
Also, Quest has events and prizes that only our registrants can participate in.
What's
different about hotel reservations this year?
First,
you must register for the conference before receiving access to the hotel
reservation links. The hotels are not
taking phone reservations. Second, if you wish to stay at the Mandalay Bay, be
sure to review the instructions listed before going into that housing link.
This will help avoid any confusion regarding the usage of an access code. Review housing options now.
Bring
your group!
Is your company planning on sending four or more attendees to COLLABORATE
07? Does your company have a Quest corporate membership? All Quest
corporate members can save $200 per attendee by registering through
our Group Program, a special promotion not part of online
registration. Please note that the group rate cannot be combined with any other registration promotion. To
participate, look for the Group Program form online or email conferences@questdirect.org.

Ask Product Executives all of your
unanswered conference questions!
When you make your conference travel reservations, plan
on staying all the way through Thursday - the last time slot on
Thursday (beginning at 12:15 p.m.) is reserved for exclusive Q&A
sessions with Oracle PeopleSoft general manager Doris Wong. It's the perfect
chance to ask them any questions you didn't get addressed earlier in the week,
and go home with even more information!

Oracle's Fusion Middleware and application teams
Date:
February 15
Time: 11:00
am - 12:00 noon Central Standard Time.

Description:
Oracle XML Publisher / BI Publisher offers PeopleSoft Enterprise customers the
most efficient, scalable reporting solution available. It provides a central
architecture for generating and delivering information both securely and in
the right format. Oracle XML Publisher / BI Publisher reduces the high costs
associated with the development, customization and maintenance of business
documents; while increasing the efficiency of reports management.
Furthermore,
it reduces a company's dependency on third party software systems that are
required to format business documents, reducing the complexity of your
reporting infrastructure. Utilizing a set of familiar desktop tools such as
Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office users can create and maintain their own
report formats based on data extracts supplied by a multitude of sources.
