Using SQL Server Developer Tools, Codename "Juneau" to develop your SQL Server Denali Database
In SQL Server’s “Denali” release, SQL Server Developer Tools, Codename "Juneau" transforms database development by introducing a ubiquitous, declarative model that spans all the phases of database development and maintenance/update. Try this HOL and learn how you can use SSDT’s TSQL design capabilities to build, debug, maintain and refactor databases whether working with a database project or directly with an online database instance. SSDT also makes it easy for a database developer to work hand-in-glove with Entity Framework projects, and this HOL illustrates that feature too.

Using the extensibility capabilities, you will customize the built-in visualizations. You will learn how to report on this data too.
Creating Plug-ins for Dynamics CRM 2011
In this lab you will use CRM 2011 Plug-ins to perform an action on the create and update events of records. You also use the new transaction feature in Plug-ins to group operations on multiple entities and to roll back these operations as a group on failure.
User Experience Extensibility
Dynamics CRM 2011 provides a robust default user experience for both the built-in and custom components configured for a solution. This default user experience can then be further tailored to specific solution requirements using the extensibility hooks provided by Dynamics CRM 2011. Many of these customizations can be done using the form and view editors and do not require code. For example, layout on forms, columns on views and even sub grids to display related data inline on a form can all be created using web based editors and do not require code. As needs become more complex, developers can use JScript to handle form events to provide a more interactive experience based on the users interaction with the data. Dynamics CRM 2011 now includes support for web resources that can be placed onto forms. Web Resources can have many different content types including HTML, images and Silverlight. Silverlight controls added to forms run inline and have full access to interact with the form. Silverlight can be used to provide an even richer user experience when included as part of a form. Finally, navigation is a key part of the user experience guiding the user to the solution features using intuitive paths. Dynamics CRM 2011 has adopted ribbon navigation consistent with what Microsoft Office users are accustomed to. The ribbon in Dynamics CRM 2011 offers extensive customization capabilities and can be tailored to specific solution requirements. In this lab you will begin to explore the user experience related extensibility of Dynamics CRM 2011.

Accessing Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 using WCF
Dynamics CRM 2011 introduces a new WCF interface for working with data, services and metadata. This new API is streamlined to improve performance while still providing a productive developer experience. Prior versions of CRM had a separate interface for working with the platform metadata; this is now consolidated into the new WCF service. You can work with the new WCF API using both early and late bound data types.

Building Workflows with Dynamics CRM 2011
In this lab you'll explore the new workflow capabilities in Dynamics CRM 2011 that are made possible by the use of Windows Workflow Foundation 4(WF4). You will learn how the Web Based workflow designer can be used to design workflows and how these workflows can be exported as XAML for modification by a developer. Because XAML provides a declarative definition of each workflow it is possible to open these XAML representations of a CRM 2011 workflow using the workflow designer inside Visual Studio 2010. You will open and edit a CRM 2011 workflow in Visual Studio before updating it back into CRM 2011 and then executing that workflow. By editing the workflow directly in Visual Studio you will be able to take advantage of some of the new WF4 activities that are not supported in the web based designer.
