COLLABORATE Presenter Rules & Guidelines

Rules and Standards

  • Eligibility - Quest encourages applications users, vendors of complementary products and services, and Oracle employees to submit a presentation proposal.

  • Selection Process - A customer selection committee will review all complete presentation proposals in October/November. Selection is based on presentation content, timeliness and relevance to current industry trends, technical accuracy, and quality of the submitted abstract. Preference is given to customer presentations. Judgments of the committee are final.

  • Presenter Incentive and Recognition -- Quest realizes the time involved in preparing and delivering a high quality presentation and will reward one presenter from each session with a complimentary conference registration to COLLABORATE.

Limit one complimentary registration per individual. (Does not include hotel, meals and travel). If presenting more than one session, the speaker will only be eligible for one complimentary registration. Complimentary registrations are not transferable.  However, if a speaker change is required a substitution can be made.

Customer presenters are welcome to include additional speakers in their presentation; however, only one complimentary conference registration will be provided for each session.

As a presenter you will realize additional benefits, such as the posting of your presentation on QuestDirect. This will give you and your company industry recognition.

  • Length of Presentation - Each presentation has a time allotment of 60 minutes, which includes any question-and-answer time following the presentation.

  • Presentation Style - Educational breakout presentations can take the form of a case study, lecture, demonstration or discussion.

  • Promotion of products or services during educational breakout sessions is strictly prohibited. Companies wishing to market their products should contact Quest Headquarters to learn about marketing opportunities at COLLABORATE 12.

  • Accepted speakers must meet all published deadlines and criteria set forth by Quest or the appropriate user group in order to receive the complimentary registration.

A white paper, PowerPoint Slides, or Executive Summary must be provided in order to receive your complementary registration promo code.

Speakers who are receiving a complimentary registration are required to book their hotel stay in one of the official conference hotels. If you choose to stay outside of the official hotels, a $200 administration fee will be assessed.
Reserve your hotel room today.

  • Speaker audits will be conducted by all three user groups to assure there are no duplicate or unauthorized complimentary registrations.

  • Please plan to post your slide deck or White Paper or supporting materials tothe File Library in February 2012.  (Login > Manage Your Content > Upload File) Email education@questdirect.org if you need assistance.

  • Any primary speaker changes to a presentation after being approved for COLLABORATE will make the presentation subject to cancellation depending upon a review by the customer selection committee.

  • Before submitting a presentation please confirm your availability for the entire week of COLLABORATE, Sunday through Thursday.  By submitting a presentation, you agree to present on the DAY and TIME assigned to you. Quest may be able to accommodate schedule change requests in emergency situations.

  • If you are a no-show for your scheduled speaking time, the event will be noted and it could affect speaker acceptance at future Quest events.
