Beach music was pumping and frozen drinks were in hand, but the shop-talk never ceased on the show floor here at the RECONNECT luau party last night. As I roamed the room talking to folks and checking in on vendors, the same feedback kept coming in from customers and vendors alike: Every single person in this room is relevant to me/my business, they told me. Not only does this increase the value of the connections, it saves the time it takes to figure out if this could be a potential business partner. Here at Quest we call that a win-win! Just like the feedback on the education content available, all the buzz at the party was positive. Leis, Hawaiian shirts and smiles elevated the mood and made everyone feel comfortable for some serious networking. 

Of course it was back to business bright and early Wednesday morning with more sessions and show floor hours. Joe Guerra of Rapid Decision drew a large crowd to his Super Session on BI. Quest board member and PeopleSoft user Amy Doherty introduced the session by posing a question to the crowd: "Who here has learned something practical from another user at this conference?" If there was a hand in the room that didn't go up, this editor didn't see it.
