PeopleSoft users UNITE at Reconnect!

Posted: Aug 23, 2012

The feedback from the PeopleSoft community has been so consistent over the past few years…”We want Connect back!”.  This year, we announced the PeopleSoft RECONNECT event to provide a PeopleSoft-only networking and education opportunity.  Along with INFOCUS for JDEdwards users, RECONNECT will replace regional events and answer the needs of our user community.  COLLABORATE will continue to offer big Oracle announcements and industry news and is the only PeopleSoft and JD Edwards customer-led event that will offer Fusion education, JD Edwards World education, new product releases and strategies from Oracle and the partner community, plus an emphasis on professional development and executive content. However, PeopleSoft RECONNECT and JD Edwards INFOCUS are designed so users can dig into individual modules at the micro level.

We are so excited about how RECONNECT is shaping up!  It’s still a week away and we already have more than 125 companies are attending from 33 states. The Hartford Marriott Downtown and the Hartford Hilton are SOLD OUT. A limited number of additional rooms are available at the Ramada and Holiday Inn Express at a discounted rate if you use the RECONNECT hotel block.

130+ education sessions are confirmed and ready to go.  These sessions are presented by your PeopleSoft counterparts, digging deep into PeopleSoft functions and use. My company, AARP, is bringing 18 employees so that we can network with other companies, learn about Peoplesoft technology and meet the vendor community in advance of our conversion to 9.1.  We’re also looking forward to talking about PeopleSoft with Oracle Strategists and Development Teams. This is our chance, and yours!,  to influence the direction of PeopleSoft modules and establish new plans for enhancements.

I will also be leading the Financial Services Industry User Group meeting while at RECONNECT.  Meeting face-to-face with like-minded PeopleSoft customers is a great place for learning, discussing experiences and gaining new insights. C.S. Lewis once said, “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” That’s what is great about this PeopleSoft-only event. You are surrounded by people that share that common thread of being “such a PeopleSoft user.”

If you haven’t yet registered, there is still time to be a part of this ground-breaking, PeopleSoft-only, Oracle-supported event. Online registration is open until August 23 and onsite registration will be available starting August 27th

See you there!
