Technology SIG update...

Posted: May 29, 2012

Collaborate '12 was a great success!  We enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones, especially at the Geek Meet, which featured an appearance by Lyle Ekdahl, Vice President of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and this year's Technology SIG theme song, "System Survivor".

We're now starting to plan for InFocus, the conference just for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne customers.  It will be held November 7-9 at the Omni Interlocken Resort and Spa in Broomfield, CO, just outside Denver.  The goal of this conference is to provide deep dive sessions with a technical focus -- these presentations will not just be topic overviews, but rather detailed discussions of how to use features of JDE E1 and deal with problems that may arise.  Four rooms have been allotted for our area, and with twelve timeslots, that's forty-eight sessions of technical topics!  There are still many slots available, and we're looking for in-depth presentations on subjects like security and roles, system management and maintenance, development, troubleshooting, and upgrades.  We would especially like to see sessions presented on new features that have come with recent tools releases that customers may not be using and would like guidance on beginning to implement.  The call for presentations is open until July 13th, so there's plenty of time to come up with a great topic!
