USER GROUPS > ABOUT USER GROUPS

Enhance your Quest Experience -- Join a Quest-Affiliated User Group
Another free benefit of Quest is participation in an affiliated user group. Quest's affiliated user groups are comprised of individuals who share a common industry, product or geographical interest.

What do affiliated user groups do?
Like Quest, affiliated user groups focus on networking and knowledge sharing specific to the members' shared interest. Through meetings, conference calls and other interaction opportunities, user group members share their experiences, make contact with other users and identify product development issues.

There are two types of affiliated user groups:

Special interest, product and industry user groups:
A product user group (PUG) is comprised of users who share a common software product or technology, while an industry user group (IUG) is comprised of users from a common industry or type of business. A special interest group (SIG) is formed around either a product or industry interest.

Geographic user groups:
A Quest chapter, regional user group (RUG) or local user group (LUG) is a user group made up of users within a specific geographic area. Local user groups may serve a smaller zone, such as a city or multi-city area. Regional groups tend to serve users spread throughout a larger geographic area, such as several states. Chapters typically serve an even wider area, such as a country or multiple countries.
