JD Edwards World JDBC driver for use with BI Publisher is Now Available -- Increase your reporting capabilities using World data
Oracle announces the delivery of a major new enhancement, a JDBC driver specifically for JD Edwards World. The driver is a software component that allows Java applications such as BI Publisher to access the JD Edwards World database.
The driver allows a Java application such as BI Publisher to retrieve data from the World database. Users create SQL statements in BI Publisher to provide data for their reports. Several properties can be set to customize how the World tables and SQL statements appear. The driver converts Julian dates, decimal positions and performs Presumptive Joins in the same manner as World Writer. It enforces standard business decisions from JD Edwards World; for security purposes, users of the JDBC driver must be valid users in the JD Edwards World system.
