Please download the Speaker Agreement Form and read below for some frequently asked questions that will help you prepare for the conference.

1. How do I register as a speaker?

*This does not apply to Oracle presenters. Oracle presenters can use the Oracle template.

Primary speakers will be issued a code once they have satisfied the requirements of the speaker agreement. This includes submitting a PDF of your Powerpoint presentation. You can find details on how to do this below.

YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR REGISTRATION CODE UNTIL YOU HAVE SENT IN YOUR PDF.

Please note that only the primary speaker is issued the code, and only one code is issued per session.

Quest realizes the time involved in preparing and delivering a high quality presentation and will reward presenters with a full, complimentary conference registration to Quest Southeast (limit one complimentary registration per session. This does not include hotel, meals and travel). If presenting more than one session, the speaker will only be eligible for one complimentary registration. Complimentary registrations are not transferable to another attendee. However, if a speaker change is required a substitution can be made.

Presenters are welcome to include additional speakers in their presentation. However, only one complimentary conference registration will be provided for each session.

2.  When and where do I send my presentation?

By October 20, 2009, Quest must receive an electronic copy of the PowerPoint you will be presenting at the conference. The PowerPoint must be in the Circuit Template (or, if an Oracle employee, the current Oracle Corporate PowerPoint template). If you have any questions about the template or are ready to submit it, please send an e-mail to
education@questdirect.org.

Download Template

4. How do I get the template?

You can easily
access the PowerPoint Template from our site.

E-mail your presentation to education@questdirect.org.

5
. How should I format/save my presentation?

Please PDF your presentations before sending, if at all possible. Save the file with the Session ID as the filename only. (For example: 12345.pdf or 12345.ppt)

When preparing your presentation for the CD, please keep the slides to no more than 24 slides with minimal graphics and pictures. This just needs to be the basics of your presentation. If the presentation is too large for the upload it will be sent back to you for editing which may result in missed deadline to be included on the CD. Your onsite presentation can be as large and include as many graphics as you like. We do ask that you keep company logos to the first and last slide.

E-mail your presentation to
education@questdirect.org

6. How will the room be set up and what will be in it?

The rooms will be theater style and will be set with the following:

  • Projector, screen, note-pad and markers
  • Internet will not be provided. Only Vendor Awareness Sessions will have the option of internet.

7. Will I need to bring my own laptop?

Speakers will need to bring their own laptop preloaded with your presentation.

8. Can I make changes to my presentation?

You may continue to make changes until the time of your presentation.

For any other questions, please email education@questdirect.org for assistance.
