COLLABORATE 08 and Oracle OpenWorld - What's the difference?
OpenWorld is big -- 45,000 attendees last year alone. But that's not the most important difference. Quest events and OpenWorld have different areas of emphasis and content offerings, and provide attendees with values that complement each other. Determining the conference that provides the information, education and networking opportunities best for you may depend on your role, areas of interest or your company's product priorities.

Oracle OpenWorld is a different experience from customer-driven events such as COLLABORATE and Quest's affiliate user group events. By design, vendor-driven conferences highlight the future, with less emphasis on current products. OpenWorld is full of emerging information, including the nearly 50 sessions Quest is helping provide for the conference. It is exciting, fast-paced and BIG! And it can be a truly great experience.

Quest events, including COLLABORATE 08, our event in partnership with the Independent Oracle Users Group and Oracle Applications Users Group, take a different approach. COLLABORATE is intimate enough for you to go home with a pocket full of business cards from users who have something in common with you. It focuses on increasing your ROI through access to practical, real-world solutions that come from other users. You'll find hundreds of user-led sessions at COLLABORATE, and others from Oracle representatives and our partners in the vendor community.

Those different value propositions are why Quest and Oracle promote and assist each other with their respective conferences. The events don't compete -- they complement each other for a complete user experience. We know everyone can't always attend both. In that case, we suggest you evaluate the business benefit to you and your company each year, and make the decision that's right for you.
