This year, Quest's JD Edwards World pre-conference training classes will be presented by Oracle's JD Edwards World division. All sessions will be held on Sunday, April 13.  Onsite registration will be available in Lobby C of the Colorado Convention Center on Sunday at 7 am.

Registration Rates:
$200- Half Day
$400- Whole Day
Note - The course will be cancelled if there are less than five registrants.

Session Descriptions:

JD Edwards Service-Enabled Integrations – Half Day 8:00 am -12:00 pm

With A9.1, JD Edwards World has delivered a Java API layer to facilitate a Service Oriented Architecture inspired integration of World and third party solutions, your custom portal projects, or other custom applications. World development team members who have developed the World API infrastructure and service enabling JAVA components will be conducting this session. They will show you what tools they’ve used, describe the path taken to create the World API layer, and demonstrate how to develop and deploy the Java objects for use as part of an integration project. If you are interested in understanding how World service enablement works as part of your R&D future strategy, you cannot afford to miss this session!

 

Payroll Processing Tips and Troubleshooting – Half Day 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This class will offer an overview of the payroll process highlighting common errors and troubleshooting tips.  We will also review DBA set up and calculation, AP and GL payroll integration, understanding and resolving problems with History integrities as well as a technical troubleshooting overview.

 

JD Edwards World Web Enablement – Half Day 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The JD Edwards World A9.1 web interface, using J Walk from Seagull Software, now supports a Java client deployment to ease installation, improve performance, and create a crisp look and feel.


Learn in this session the different options to deploy web enablement and details on the new functionality.  Setting up and using attachments and links will also be discussed.  Also included in this session will be setting up and using Data Base Audit Manager and Electronic Signature.

 

JD Edwards World Import/Export – Half Day 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Many businesses have a need to import data into their JD Edwards World system from programs such as a spreadsheet on a PC and export data from their JD Edwards World system into a spreadsheet or other programs on a PC. Learn in this session how to set up the IFS and how to import data into your JD Edwards World Software system using the CSV (Comma Separated Values) file format and export data from your JD Edwards World Software system to CSV and the new formats,  XML (extensible Markup Language), XSD (XML Schema Definition) and TXT (Text) file formats.

 

Purchasing for Accounts Payable – Full Day 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 

The purchasing system integrates with other JD Edwards World systems.  This class will cover the integration between Procurement and Accounts Payable from PO Entry through the payment of invoices. Topics will include creating vouchers and reconciling purchasing and accounts payable transactions.

 

Fixed Assets – Full Day 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 

The JD Edwards Fixed Assets system is a flexible system that can assist you in managing information and costs related to your fixed assets. In this class you will learn fixed asset functions and processes including system interfaces, asset information, fixed assets accounting, automated disposals and asset splits.
