COLLABORATE 11: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community
April 10-14, 2011
Orange County Convention Center
Orlando, Florida

For more information on each users group, refer to your affiliated organization’s Web site:

  • Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG)
  • Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG)
  • Quest International Users Group (Quest)

Why is COLLABORATE 11 co-presented by three users groups?
Joining forces to co-present COLLABORATE 11 allows the IOUG, OAUG and Quest to bring you the best practices and user-driven training that each user group offers. Plus, COLLABORATE 11 attendees have access to the greater Oracle community — more exhibitors, Oracle representatives and other Oracle users.

Each organization develops its own slate of educational content and plans activities geared specifically to its respective community, but at the end of the day, we all benefit from the shared COLLABORATE experience. The IOUG, OAUG and Quest will continue to function as independent user groups serving separate audiences.

Where is COLLABORATE 10 taking place?
COLLABORATE 11 is being held April 10-14, 2011 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Please refer to your affiliated organization’s Web site for information on making your hotel reservations and registering for the conference.

How do I register for COLLABORATE 11?
You can register online through the IOUG, OAUG or Quest Web sites beginning in the fall of 2010. Register through the organization with which you are already affiliated, or select the users group that best fits your educational needs.

How much does COLLABORATE 11 cost?
Registration for the conference ranges from $775 to around $2200, depending on whether or not you are a current member of one of the users groups, how many days you plan to attend the conference, and also depending on when you register. Sign up early for the best rates.

Is Oracle participating in COLLABORATE 11?
Yes. COLLABORATE is grateful to have Oracle’s support and participation in the Exhibitor Showcase, keynote presentations and educational sessions.

How many people are anticipated to be in attendance?
We anticipate 5,000 attendees in 2011. But we’re careful to bring every attendee the ease of finding specific content that applies to them, as well as a fun, close-knit gathering with the greater Oracle community in addition to the events planned by each of our three groups.

Can I access all three organizations’ education/events?
Yes, although there are some events, such as pre-conference training sessions, that are limited to the registrants of each individual users group.

Each organization collects registrations from its users independently, but COLLABORATE attendees have access to the education and events planned by all of the groups, with a few exceptions. More education is one of the biggest benefits of COLLABORATE, which functions like three conferences in one. You must register directly with your affiliated organization to receive accurate communications pertinent to your product line/area of interest.

If I am interested in only certain technologies or applications, will I still have options?
Yes. Each of our groups lists their education offerings on their respective Web sites, where you can find the sessions that are specific to your area of interest. The event will feature content and tracks specific to database and applications users alike.

How can I submit a presentation for the conference?
The Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest) invite you to share your Oracle knowledge at COLLABORATE 11.

Where Should I Submit a Presentation Proposal?
If you are an Oracle technology and database professional, including DBAs, developers, architects, application server administrators, or system/security/storage managers across the spectrum of Oracle technologies, including Stellent, BEA, and Essbase, submit through the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) at www.ioug.org.

If you are an Oracle Applications professional with an interest in Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, PeopleSoft, as well as applications technology, submit through the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) at www.oaug.org.

If you are an Oracle Applications user interested in being more efficient with your organization’s resources and unlocking the potential of your ERP software, submit through Quest International Users Group at www.questdirect.org. Quest’s community includes PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Oracle Utilities functional and technical professionals from every level of an organization.
